Vikipēdija:Bota statusa pieteikumi

I
Ja vēlaties darbināt botu latviešu valodas vikipēdijā, Jums vispirms jāiegūst bota statuss, citādi bots var tikt bloķēts.
Lai to iegūtu, atstājiet pieteikumu zemāk. Jūsu pieprasījums tiks izskatīts un lemts par bota statusu.
If you want to run a bot on the Latvian Wikipedia, you must first get it approved, otherwise the bot will be blocked. To do so, add a request below.
II

Create the bot's user page before adding a request.

Replace Samplebot with your bot's user name in the box below and click the button (Pieteikt botu / Request Bot Approval).

  1. Complete the questions on the resulting page and save it;
  2. Edit this page, adding the following text to the Active requests section (replacing Samplebot with your bot's name):
    {{Vikipēdija:Bota statusa pieteikumi/Bots:Samplebot}}
  3. If the purpose of the bot is just interwiki linking or other minor, uncontroversial changes, then you can start making test edits (no more than 30).

Programēšanas valoda: Python (standard)

Bota statuss citās Vikipēdijās?: (Y/N): Yes. Flag on da, de, id, lb etc. Also on Commons as commons:User:MGA73bot2

Mērķis: Prepare files for Commons. If the files are prepared good before they are moved to Commons then the result on Commons will be much better and no or very few edits will be needed after the transfer.

If files are moved and informations are lost in transfer it will take more time to fix and the files risk to be deleted on Commons.

lv.wiki have some special templates and if possible I would like to change them so that they match the templates on commons. For example the templates with build in attribution. They should be converted to "{{Self|author=Name of user|license}}"

Generally all files should have {{Information}}. If no template is on the file page I can add it with my bot and in many cases I can fill in some of the information.

I can also use it to add a relevant category to make sure that the files does not end as uncategorized on Commons. Possible categories could be Category:Buildings in Latvia or Category:Riga. It is relevant if I find many similar file.

It could also be Category:Files uploaded by user xx so the user can find the files on Commons faster. It will also make it easier if user has to fix some information that the files are in a category.

Funkciju apraksts: I will edit file name space. In some cases it could perhaps be relevant to write a message to the uploader. All edits wil be manually assisted.

If local users think "Hey I can do that!" I would appriciate some help. It is easier when local users edit because sometimes bot edits result in questions and it is better if someone can answer in latvian.

Hello. To facilitate steward granting of bot access, I suggest implementing the standard bot policy on this wiki. In particular, this policy allows stewards to automatically flag known interlanguage linking bots (if this page says that is acceptable), which form the vast majority of such requests. The policy also enables global bots on this wiki (if this page says that is acceptable), which are trusted bots that will be given bot access on every wiki that allows global bots.

This policy makes bot access requesting much easier for local users, operators, and stewards. To implement it we only need to create a redirect to this page from Vikipēdija:Bot policy, and add a line at the top noting that it is used here. Please read the text at m:Bot policy before commenting. If you object, please say so; I hope to implement in one week if there is no objection, since it is particularly written to streamline bot requests on wikis with little or no community interested in bot access requests.
