„Štít dělený a dole polcený. V horním stříbrném poli volně uprostřed tovární komín mezi strojovnou se čtyřmi okny a pilovitou střechou a průčelím tovární budovy se třemi okny, prostředním vyšším, vše červené se stříbrnými okny. Dole vpravo ve zlatém poli stříbrná, černě zabalená homole cukru, vlevo zlatý pšeničný klas bez stébla.“[1]
Historická podoba znaku byla schválena městským zastupitelstvem 19.7.1928 a výnosem ministerstva vnitra dne 3.12.1931 byl znak potvrzen.[2]
