Objekta vēsture
Deutsch: Die neue Stadt Forchtenberg wurde am 1. Januar 1972 durch Vereinigung der früheren Städte Forchtenberg und Sindringen mit zwei Dorfgemeinden gebildet, nachdem eine weitere Gemeinde schon zuvor in Forchtenberg eingegliedert worden war. Sie übernahm das in Siegeln seit 1516 nachgewiesene Wappen ihrer namengleichen Vorgängerin, wobei der Speer des Erzengels Michael zur Erinnerung an das goldene Kreuz im Sindringer Wappen (16. Jahrhundert) in einen goldenen Kreuzspeer umgewandelt wurde. Als hohenlohesche Haus- und weinsbergische sowie schöntalische Wappenfarben können die Farben Silber (Weiß) und Rot historisch mit allen in der neuen Stadt aufgegangenen Gemeinden in Verbindung gebracht werden. Das Wappen und die Flagge wurden vom Landratsamt am 7. Juni 1978 verliehen.
