Der damaligen Gemeinde (seit 1950 Stadt) Kamp-Lintfort ist durch Urkunde des Innenministers von Nordrhein-Westfalen vom 9. Dezember 1949 das Recht zur Führung des nachstehend beschriebenen Wappens erteilt worden.
English: the city of Kamp-Lintfort, North Rhine-Westphalia
The arms were granted on December 9, 1949. The main figure in the arms is the church of the Cistercian monastery in Kamp, built in 1630. The orb in the small shield is taken from the arms of the monastery. The plowshare represents the agriculture in Kamp. The miner's tools represent the mining activities in Lintfort.

Unter der Kirche gekreuzt ein schwarzer Schlägel und ein schwarzes Eisen. Im rechten Obereck ein goldenes Schildchen, darin eine blaue Weltkugel, die von einem goldenen Ring umschlossen wird, von dem eine goldene Pflugschar nach unten ausgeht.“
